Clarification Re Brush Pick Up Announcement for Saturday, February 11th
Regarding the flyer circulating announcing a limited brush pick-up on Saturday -- sorry for any ambiguity that is causing confusion. We want to be clear that the announced curbside pick-up on February 11th is not all that will be done by the City to assist residents needing to arrange for debris removal, it is just what will be done first. We had a regular quarterly bulk pick-up day scheduled for February 11th that will now be solely for brush. It is subject to the described limits (4 cubic yards -- bundled).
We very much recognize this will not be adequate for most people, but every little bit helps as we chip away at the problem.
Additional pick-ups will be scheduled in the coming days and weeks. We are working on getting bids. There is obviously extraordinary demand for these services. This will take time and there may be multiple phases.
Any homeowner that has it in their means to dispose of their own yard debris would be doing the community a great service.
I appreciate your patience. The debris field is 3X what we experienced in 2021.
